Your books covered, from orders to close.

Prora keeps your books on the same data as your stock and sales. See what the period earned, how much cash you can still put into inventory, and which products are missing their margin.

Why finance moves

Financials that stay current with the business

Margin from real costs

Gross profit uses the product costs and orders already in your workspace, so the number operations sees and the number finance reports come from the same place.

Cash you can act on

Working capital and purchasing capacity sit next to the reorder plan, so you know what you can commit before the order goes out.

Exceptions, not surprises

Products that fall outside their margin band surface while you can still change a price or a supplier, rather than in the close review.

Reconciled before close

Expected revenue and refunds are checked against what actually landed, so variances get resolved during the month instead of during the scramble.

How it works

From connected orders to a close you can defend

  1. Set your costs

Load product costs and the fees you pay per channel. Prora applies them order by order, so margin reflects what a sale actually nets rather than what it listed for.

  2. Watch the period build

Revenue, cost of goods, and gross profit accumulate as orders land. Period comparisons and run rate move with them, so nothing waits on a month-end export.

  3. Work the exceptions

Review the products sitting outside their band and the revenue that does not match expectation, then close with the variances already explained.

Profit and loss

See what the period actually earned

Revenue on its own tells you very little. Prora walks the period from revenue down through cost of goods and channel fees to the gross profit you keep, so a margin move can be traced to the line that caused it.

  • Gross profit bridged from revenue to what you keep
  • Margin percentage weighted by revenue, not averaged per order
  • Prior-period deltas on every figure
  • Run rate projected from the days already closed

Cash

Know what you can commit before you commit it

Purchasing capacity is cash on hand minus what is already spoken for. Prora subtracts committed vendor bills and your operating reserve, then shows what is genuinely free to put into stock this cycle.

  • Committed supplier spend counted against cash
  • Operating reserve held back from purchasing
  • Capacity checked against the reorder plan total
  • Inventory carried at cost, not at retail

Margin

Catch the products quietly losing money

A product can sell well and still lose margin after discounts, fees, and a supplier price rise. Prora measures each one against the band you set and lists the ones that drifted out, worst first.

  • Target margin bands set per product or family
  • Discount and fee drag shown against list margin
  • Cost changes flagged when they move a product out of band
  • Revenue at risk sized so you know which to fix first

Also included

The rest of what a finance view needs

Period comparisons

Every figure carries a delta against the prior period, so a bad month reads as a change rather than a number you have to remember.

Channel breakdown

Revenue, fees, and margin split by the channels you sell on, so you can see which one is actually carrying the quarter.

Dated cost history

Product costs are versioned by date, so a margin from March is calculated with March's cost instead of today's.

Multi-currency

Orders taken in another currency convert at the rate on the sale date and report in the currency you close in.

Committed spend

Purchase orders already approved count against available cash, so capacity reflects what you owe and not just what cleared.

Clean exports

Period figures and reconciliation detail export in full for whoever files the statutory return.
